Two ways to save a LinkedIn profile as a PDF
Method 1: print to PDF (any public profile)
This is the method that works on everyone's profile, including your own. It uses nothing but the browser you already have open.
- 1.Paste the profile URL above. Paste the LinkedIn profile link and press "Get download options". Any linkedin.com/in/ address works.
- 2.Open the profile in a new tab. Use the button the tool gives you so the profile opens on its own page rather than inside a feed.
- 3.Press Ctrl+P on Windows or Cmd+P on a Mac. This opens your browser’s print dialog. Scroll the profile to the bottom first so every section has loaded.
- 4.Choose "Save as PDF" and click Save. Set the destination to "Save as PDF", pick a filename, and save. Turn on background graphics if you want the profile photo included.
Method 2: LinkedIn's native export (your profile only)
LinkedIn will build a resume-style PDF of your own profile in four clicks. It is tidier than a print-out, and it is the one export LinkedIn officially supports.
- 1.Sign in to LinkedIn. The native export only works while you are signed in.
- 2.Open your own profile. Click your photo in the top navigation, then "View profile".
- 3.Click the "More" button. It sits under your headline, next to "Open to" and "Add profile section".
- 4.Choose "Save to PDF". LinkedIn builds a resume-style PDF of your profile and downloads it automatically.

Before you save a profile
- Only public profiles, or profiles you can already see, can be saved. Nothing here bypasses a privacy setting or a login.
- The native "Save to PDF" export works on your own profile only. For anyone else, print to PDF.
- Contact details are usually hidden unless you are connected, so they will not appear in the PDF either.

How do I save a LinkedIn profile as a PDF?+
Open the profile, press Ctrl+P on Windows or Cmd+P on a Mac, then set the print destination to "Save as PDF". That works on any profile you can already view. For your own profile, LinkedIn has a built-in export: click "More" under your headline and choose "Save to PDF".
Can I download someone else’s LinkedIn profile as a PDF?+
Yes, if the profile is public or you are connected. Print to PDF from your browser. LinkedIn’s own "Save to PDF" button only exports your own profile, which is why the print method is the one that generalises.
Does the person know I saved their profile?+
Printing a page you can already see creates no notification. Viewing the profile might, depending on your profile-viewing settings, but the PDF step itself is invisible to them.
Is this LinkedIn PDF downloader free?+
Yes. There is no account, no credit card, and no upload. The tool runs entirely in your browser and never sends the profile URL to a server.
Why does my PDF cut off half the profile?+
LinkedIn loads sections as you scroll. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the profile, expand "See more" on the About and Experience sections, then print. Everything that is expanded on screen ends up in the PDF.
Can I use a LinkedIn profile PDF as my resume?+
As a stopgap, yes. As your actual application document, no. The export keeps LinkedIn’s ordering and formatting rather than leading with the impact a hiring manager scans for. Use it as raw material and rewrite it.
